Those in the know in European darts are adamant….Steffi Luck is a World Champion in waiting.
The young German starlet is certainly making waves, as she strives to achieve her darting dream and follow in the footsteps of Unicorn stablemate Anastasia Dobromyslova.
Aged just 21, Steffi has already won several big tournaments in her native Germany and has also won several matches against the men on the PDC Pro Tour!
A capital P for Potential!
And to think that it all started in darts for Steffi as a young teenager, thanks to a challenge from her uncle!
He pinned a 20 Euro note to a dartboard and challenged her to hit it with all three darts…..four hours later, the money was in Steffi’s pocket and she was bitten by the darts bug!
And such is her dedication that she practices for at least two hours a day, four or five days a week and virtually every weekend, Steffi is playing tournaments.
She realises that to become the best ladies darts player in the world takes dedication and the young student from Dietzenbach in Germany has already achieved so much in the four years that she had been playing the sport.
How about this for an impressive CV…..2010 German Darts Champion, three-times women’s County Champion, Soft-Tip champion in her home country and a 3rd place finish in the German Masters.
And one of the highlights of her career came in Bremen, when Steffi won the World Darts Federation German Gold Cup.
In fact, Steffi has won more than 20 singles titles in her homeland, as she gets ready to spread her wings to play many more events around Europe, including in the UK.
Watch out for the name of Steffi Luck over the next few years.
Single-minded, focused and determined to strike it ‘Lucky’ on the big darts stages around the world.
