German starlet Nico Blum is already showing why he has a big future in the sport.

He may have only just turned 16, but he has already put down a big marker in 2017 by winning an astonishing 11 tournaments.

The young Unicorn ace sits proudly on top on the German Youth rankings. He has also reached two further finals and two semi-finals this year. He turned 16 last December and everything points to Blum becoming a big star in the years to come.

Just to show how good this young man is, he recently played in a Men’s NWDV ranking event and won the senior final 6-0 at the age of 16!

Nico has also made a big splash as he made his debut on the PDC Unicorn Development Tour last month. From a tough field, he made the quarter-finals one day, losing to eventual winner Ryan Meikle….and in the next event he made it to the last 16.

The sport of darts is huge in Germany. Many are hoping that Max Hopp will take it to the next level. A former PDC Unicorn World Youth Champion, Hopp has proved he is the real deal.

Those in the know believe that Nico Blum will be the next big thing in German darts. Watch this space!
