Arron Monk has clinched an impressive 4th win of the year on the PDC Unicorn Youth Tour.
The Team Unicorn star extended his lead at the top of the Youth Tour Order of Merit, by winning the second event of the day in Barnsley.
After losing to PDC Unicorn World Youth Champion James Hubbard in the quarter-finals of the first tournament in South Yorkshire, Monk more than made up for it!
And he pockets another winner’s cheque for £500….
It was a tough road to his latest victory….he overcame Jack Twedell and Martin Heneghan in last leg deciders, then enjoyed 4-1 wins over Martin Walker and Sam Hill.
Monk beat Matthew Dicken 4-0 in the quarter-finals, then Lewis Veynes 4-2 in the semi-finals, before clinching the tournament with a 4-2 triumph against Samuel Head.
The first event of the day was won by Telford youngster Sam Hamilton, who beat Reece Robinson 4-3 in the final…..
Team Unicorn’s Keegan Brown was out of luck in Barnsley. He lost 4-0 to Robinson in the quarter-finals of the first event and went down by the same score against Matthew Dicken in the second youth tournament.
The 12th PDC Unicorn Youth tour event takes place at the Barnsley Metrodome on Sunday
