The 6th All-Ireland University Darts Teams & 5th All-Ireland University Darts Masters will take place on the 2nd & 3rd March 2012 in Cork, Ireland hosted by UCC Darts Club in the New Bar on University College Cork's campus.
The Teams' Trophy is named the "David Maye Memorial Cup" after U.D.A.I. member David tragically lost his life in a car accident on 1st December 2008. The Teams' Event has grown dramatically in recent years with the expected number of Teams' competing this year near 16, with a Round Robin Best of 9 legs 1001 until the Knock-out Stages where it is a race to 6 legs 1001 & then the Final first to 7 legs 1001.
The last two years' have provided memorable finals with NUI Galway defeating neighbours Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology 7-6 last year in Carlow and Institute of Technology, Carlow defeating Limerick Institute of Technology 7-5 previous year in Carlow also.
Full history of previous Champions can be seen on the U.D.A.I. website www.udai.ie The 5th Annual Masters' Event is the Top 32 Players from the Previous Years Singles Event & the Title has had 4 different Champions in 4 years with Stiofán de Lundres Ó Dálaigh capturing the 2008 Title, 2009: John Kane, 2010: Paddy Barcoe, 2011: Keith Kilduff & is highly contested each year.

The World University Darts Championships II returned in November 2011 after the Inaugural Tournament in Alkmaar, Holland with Irishman Ken Kavanagh defeating his compatriot Stiofán de Lundres Ó Dálaigh 6-5 in a Best of 11 legs 501 Final. Special Guest at that years' Championships was former Ladies' World Champion Francis Hoenselaar who presented Stiofán with the Masters' Title gaining revenge on Ken's earlier victory. The WUDC II event was won by David Cunningham of GMIT defeating compatriot and club teammate Kevin Devaney in the Final. The Masters' Title went to Paul Gallagher also of GMIT & Kevin & David Paired up to win the World University Darts Pairs' Title. The University Darts Corporation hopes to stage the WUDC III & EUDC II in the UK later in 2012.
