She is the hottest property in the world of women’s darts at the moment!
And Anastasia Dobromyslova has proved yet again, that she is THE form player in the ladies game, as she swept to glory in the England Masters in Blackpool.
The SkyBet World Matchplay is taking centre stage in Blackpool, but not far away from the Winter Gardens, Unicorn’s former Women’s World Champion was winning yet another big tournament.
It was England darts weekend at the Norbreck Castle Hotel….and after just missing out on the England National title on Saturday, Anastasia won the England Masters Singles title on Sunday with an imperious darting display.
Remember in May, she won the European Championship and only last month, Anastasia triumphed in the prestigious International Open.
Well, on Sunday Ana beat Wales’ Julie Gore 4-2 in the final of the English Masters – a result which takes her a giant step closer to her goal of achieving automatic qualification for the Lakeside World Championship.
In the final, Ana hit a 113 check-out and a 13 darter and averaged an impressive 90….on the way, she had beaten Lorraine Farlam 3-2 in the semi-finals and taken out top seed Deta Hedman by the same score in the quarter-finals.
Her victory more than made up for the disappointment of losing in the final of the England National Singles event on Saturday, when Anastasia lost 4-1 to Lisa Ashton.
But she is certainly firing on all cylinders at the moment!
Next up is the British Classic next weekend in Kettering and she knows that one more big tournament win should clinch Anastasia that prized spot at the World Championship.
