Ana finding her feet!

Former World Champion Anastasia Dobromyslova is starting to make her mark back in the ranks of the British Darts Organisation.

After a respectable run to the last 16 of the Dutch Open earlier this month, she reached the quarter-finals of the Scottish Open at the weekend.

And Anastasia won the Ladies Pairs Event in Renfrew, teaming up with Lorraine Farlam to beat Deta Hedman and Karen Lawman 3-1 in the final.

“It has been a big learning curve again for me,” Anastasia admitted. “But I have enjoyed it and I know it will take some time to hit top form again, but I know the tournament wins are just around the corner.”

In Scotland at the weekend, Anastasia was beaten in the quarter-finals by Team Unicorn stablemate Irina Armstrong…..Irina managed to reach the final, but lost out to Farlam!

As well as beating Anastasia in the quarter-finals, Irina also defeated Laura Tye in another all Unicorn clash in the last 16.

The ultimate target for Anastasia is to make it to the World Masters and the Lakeside World Championship and if she continues to impress in the Open events, she should achieve her goals.

“It was always going to be hard to go back after two years in the PDC and start winning straight away. I am having fun, working hard and enjoying my darts,” Anastasia said.

She recently enjoyed a near 90 average for Cheshire in a county match against Surrey and her next mission is next month’s Isle of Man Open.
