New World Rankings!

Adrian Lewis is confirmed as the new World No.2 after his fabulous World Championship triumph.

Of course, it is a career high for the Unicorn star, who will surely be targeting more big tournament wins during 2011 and he will also be eyeing a run on the world No.1 spot over the next couple of years!

Phil Taylor still tops the pile, with James Wade now at No.3 and Gary Anderson ranked No.4 after his World Championship exploits.

But Raymond van Barneveld has dropped down to No.5 – his lowest ranking for five years. Terry Jenkins holds his own at No.6 after his run to the semi-finals at the Alexandra Palace, while Simon Whitlock, Ronnie Baxter, Mark Walsh and Colin Lloyd make up the top 10.

Lewis’ World Championship triumph earned him £200,000 and he will almost certainly stay at No.2 for the whole of 2011.

It also means that Taylor and Lewis will be seeded to meet in the finals of many of the big TV tournaments during the year, if all went to plan!

As far as the rest of Team Unicorn are concerned, Wes Newton is now at a career high 12th in the rankings and Colin Osborne is No.15

Andy Hamilton drops from 12th to 16th, Paul Nicholson is down to No.18, Jamie Caven stays 19th, but Kevin Painter falls to 21st after his shock World Championship 1st Round exit.

Barrie Bates and John Part just keep their spots in the top 32 in the world, at positions 31 and 32 respectively.

Kirk Shepherd is now 41st but Joe Cullen has gone up 12 spots to No.61….Mick McGowan is down at 64, with PDC Unicorn Under 21 World Champion Arron Monk up to 82nd.

The Top 10 (money list on 2-year cycle):

1 – Phil Taylor (£973,000)
2 – Adrian Lewis (£391,350)
3 – James Wade (£290,742)
