Sky Sports commentator and Unicorn website ‘hack’ Stuart Pyke met up with old friend Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff at the World Championship on Tuesday!
Freddie is a self-confessed darts ‘nut’ and joined Stuart and Rod Harrington in the Sky Sports commentary box for the 2nd Round match between Simon Whitlock and Denis Ovens.
“I just love it,” he said. “Maybe I should try a new career as a darts commentator! It is a great sport and great fun, but I wasn’t too impressed with Pykey’s shirt!”
It is the second time at the tournament that Flintoff has picked up the mic….he joined Sid Waddell and John Gwynne for the all Unicorn 1st Round clash between Terry Jenkins and Joe Cullen.
Pyke and Flintoff have been friends since Freddie first joined Lancashire as a teenager.
Keep in touch with the Unicorn website for the rest of the Ladbrokes.com World Championship, as Stuart will be reporting regularly on events from the Alexandra Palace.
And the word is that Freddie will be back for more commentary duties before the end of the tournament!
