What exactly do I mean Dear Reader, surely not calling the Green Shoots of Economic Spring after the harshest Credit Crunchiest Winter we’ve endured in years?

No, not exactly, although there may be a few whiffs in the air of things not being quite as horrific as they were, no what I am talking about is of course the Green Shoots of Unicorn WebGeekery pushing through the compacted gigabytes of websites past to the brave sunlit digital uplands of Web 2.0.

Welcome to our new Website.

Truth is, we rather liked the old one and would immodestly say that it did (& still would) lead the field. However, time waits for no man, and it’s right to look ahead once again and find new and better ways of talking with you.

We mentioned this to the boys and girls at WebCentral and there was much sucking of teeth, some ill-advised scratching, a bit of shuffling from foot to foot as they kicked the wheels of Venerable Website Generation 1, before they chorused “Do what? Not with that mate, not a chance!”

So there we have it. The HTML King is dead, long live the HTML King! Or as Homer Simpson would put it “Mmmm, shiny!”

The new Unicorn website. On an all new development platform that will stand us in good stead to better natter with you and to you. Is that all? Well no, whilst we love to hear ourselves talk, we’re better advised to listen more to you, so the new wondersite should really be Codenamed Big Ears, the better that we can feel your vibe, if I can put it like that!

So, I hear you say (there we are, listening already) what does this mean for the hapless, unsuspecting visitor who lands at unicorn-darts.com? Well, I hope we are delivering a clearer interface with less visual clutter, simplified navigation to easier locate your arrows of desire. We can now more easily deliver video to give you more of an insight into our world (I gather we’re launching with some absolute shockers).

Over time, new features are planned to stimulate us both, and we look forward to rolling those out. Of its very nature, a website is an organic, dynamic beast and we look forward to your barbs and bouquets to further polish, refine and grow. “Whither UniLab?” I hear you say. Fear not, after we explained what we are up to with the new site, the UniBoffin took a long deep breath on his preferred supply of pure Krypton and was last seen disappearing into his lair armed only with a set square, piece of string and coding manual. Apparently he will emerge in September with an enhanced, even whizzier UniLab, can’t wait!

Oh and I nearly forgot! There is of course the small matter of Unicorn 2010 or as we humbly call it The Exhilaration of Excellence! Team Unicorn grows stronger with the welcome addition of World Champions Barney & Anastasia. Have a look at Unicorn Black Tungsten and the superb new Machina finish. Browse innovation in every category, marvel at Q’s cunning devices that not only did we not know we needed, but we’re not entirely sure if we throw them, wear them or hang them on a door!

You’re very welcome to our new website. We’ve just about got the curtains up and are taking the cardboard boxes out of the back door as we welcome you at the front so please forgive us for any glitches.

However the new website and Unicorn 2010 takes you, let us know your thoughts by commenting below.

We look forward to hearing from you.

(Note to self - blog more often, it's good for the soul)

Hi Mr. Lowy,

Just wondering if you have any plans to add a 'Fan Forum' here on Unicorn-darts.com? I know that you graciously answer questions from interested parties on other forums around the Web, and it seems that it would make it easier for us to address our questions to you, and yours to us, if there was a central Unicorn forum we could all gather at.

Looking forward to the new line being available -- I'm especially grateful for the replacement stems for the Phase 5's.

Hi Edward!

I thank you for bringing the new and vastly improved Unicorn Website!
Unicorn just gets better and better each year. That is why Unicorn is the BIGGEST name in darts!

Excellent site, am looking forward to uniBlogging!

Kind regards

Warren (AKA Wazza)

G'day Mr Lowy,

The new Unicorn Website is a vast improvement over the previous one but I am still not able to find out the length and diameter of any Unicorn darts barrel from it.

Another dart manufacturer provides the afore mentioned dimensions in millimeters for every dart they produce on their website therefore, their website is far more useful to me than yours so I buy their darts.

I would appreciate it if the dimensional information missing from the Unicorn Website be added as I would like nothing better than to purchase some Unicorn darts.

Regards'
George
