It is with great pleasure we received news of Charlotte Burgess’ selection for Hampshire. Charlotte will be part of the Ladies squad that takes on Essex in the latest round of Inter County darts in the BICC Premiership in early March.
Charlotte’s rise has been both constant and spectacular over the last two years, with impressive performances in local ladies and county super leagues winning numerous titles.
At youth level Charlotte has had success in the 2007 Essex Youth tournament and a hat trick of victories in the Andover Youth Open.
As captain of the Unicorn Darts Youth Academy ladies team for the past three years she has been an inspiration, confidante and the bench mark for the young ladies aiming for similar success.
Her consistent performances against men have been of great satisfaction to those who know her earning great respect from those who have had to play her, with exceptional displays against Wez Newton and Sam Rooney who have donated their winning to the Academy after narrow victories in Classic tournaments.
I am sure that this will be the start of a long and illustrious senior career in darts and if she fulfils her undoubted potential has every opportunity of becoming international standard.
