Unicorn raises the bar!

Posted by Warren Ackary at 05:28 on 9th October 2009 in UniBlog

I just managed to read the 2010 Catalogue (about 3 times to make sure what I was seeing was right!), wow what a brilliant, new and yes exciting array of Darts & Accessories!

Now before you say “ok seems Warren is looking for something” I say NO! My Uniblog is about the high standard that has been set by Unicorn... YET AGAIN! When Edward launched the new Unicorn site I though “ok, let’s see what the big deal is”... I went to http://www.unicorn-darts.com/ and I felt like Homer Simpson “Mmmmmm shiny”! Ha-ha...seriously though, shiny, neat and not confusing.

The site after awhile is easy to navigate (although Unilab still needs to be added back in) and the details are great with a Bio on all the players and of course the latest New and Blogs. It seems that as Unicorn’s slogan is “The BIGGEST name in darts” should be “we set high standards each year”!

Just look at what Unicorn has done in the past 70 years since Mr. Stanley Lowy started with the Silver Comet and is specially designed points (which are the same ones as that are used today) right up to the 2010 Range being created. High standards all the time to no end and the team grows with brilliant talent in there, of course the player who does his own “standards are raising the bar” is Mr. Phil Taylor.

So what is to happen for 2010? Who knows? Unicorn have raised the bar in product quality to a new level (a certain Mr. Uniboffin has helped as well) and Phil Taylor keeps raising the bar of “quality play” to a standard that is very hard to match.

I am in a quandary now... Unicorn and their stable of players are raising the bar all the time (at the moment it’s the Skybet World Grand Prix) that Unicorn players are stepping up. I don’t think Unicorn can go any higher (although Mr. Taylor may have something to say about that!)... The question will be soon answered in June/July 2010... UNICORN has raised the bar another notch!

So maybe this Uniblogger will have to ponder what can Unicorn do with their darts & Accessories as well as Teams to “raise the bar”? Introduce a new team of players, design new radar guided darts? (thanks to Uniboffin)... Ahhh the suspense of it all!

Hope fully this time in 2010 I will be able to blog “well I didn’t think Unicorn could do it... but they have raised the bar higher!” So now it’s the waiting game we have to play as Unicorn test and develops more and more, tournament after tournament.

For now... good darting!

ive had the catologue for a while now and i read it 3 or 4 times a day. but i have for a while been wondering how different are the andy hamilton darts different to the sigma pros?

Hi Freddie

I do beleive Andy's darts are styled on the Sigma's but have been changed to suit his own personal style. You cant have a player signed dart with a Unicorn Product dart... they are not the same.
