Unicorn Darts and Superstars of Darts are delighted to announce the launch the quest to find the Darts Pub of the Year for 2009.
The award was first made in 2008 and the winning pub was The Anchor in Battersea, London and Unicorn stars Adrian Lewis and Russ Bray attended a special charity exhibition evening in aid of a local hospice.
Nominations are now being taken as the hunt begins to find the Darts Pub or Club of the Year for 2009. You can nominate any pub or club in the UK or Republic of Ireland that is extra special in its support of Darts.
Please supply details of the pub or club along with your reason(s for nomination and post at a special section of Superstars of Darts – see link below.
Nominations will be recorded until the end of March 2009 when a panel of judges from Unicorn and Superstars of Darts will decide upon the winning location. We can't really say what we are looking for, things to consider are : What is it about your nominated pub that makes it special? What do they do for the local darts community, individuals or other teams? Why should your nominated pub win the award?
The first prize for the Unicorn Darts Pub of Club of the Year is an exhibition night in aid of a local charity to be determined by the winner and a Team Unicorn member will attend the evening to fully participate in the event.
Other pubs or clubs nominated that the panel of judges feel are particularly noteworthy will receive Unicorn Darts products from the latest catalogue as shown on the Unicorn website as runners up prizes.
Do you think your local deserves to win this award? Do you want an exhibition night to remember with a star from Team Unicorn? Get your nominations in over the next few weeks and who knows, we could be paying YOU a visit as Unicorn Darts Pub of the Year for 2009!
