Silver Comet Precison Darts

Reproduced from the 1950 Edition of The Unicorn Book of Darts.

Introduced in 1937, these splendid darts have been unsurpassed in construction, design and popularity ever since. Over a quarter of a million sets have been sold to date and many of the original batch are still giving perfect service, as testified by many appreciative letters received from actual users. The plated brass body is fitted with a slotted flight holder shaft made in high tensile aluminium alloy and the flight is held in position by a streamlined cap screwed on the rear end of the shaft. The flight is thus perfectly encased in metal and no loss of score is possible, because if a following dart hits the streamlined cap it glances off to lodge in the board.

Silver Comet darts are now supplied as standard in plastic box, with a single piece moulded plastic flight, but can still be obtained, on request, with two piece valcanised fibre flights of the original pattern, here illustrated.

LIGHT Code SCL 9/32" dia. x 2" long, Weight Index 13
MEDIUM Code SCM 11/32" dia. x 2" long. Weight Index 19
HEAVY Code SCH 7/16" dia. x 2" long. Weight Index 30

NB. There is still a Silver Comet dart in the current Unicorn range. Click here for details.
